These next nine weeks are guaranteed to be a period of great chaos and uncertainty. In large part, it is because the Orange Madman is predictably behaving as expected, as if Nostradamus himself had prophesized this moment, which is actually par for how he has governed.
While Vice President Joe Biden has been declared the winner, and the Blue party has retained control of the House, and possibly retaken the Senate, the Madman continues to claim victory and has embarked on a delusional legal strategy to overturn the results via the courts. Indeed, if it comes down to the Supreme Court, advantage goes to the Madman.
Meanwhile, the heavily armed right wing have not withdrawn their civil war threats. If the Madman were to manage to remain in power, by whatever means necessary, he would be unable to govern. Five million people would initially descend upon Washington D.C., bringing government to a grinding halt, refusing to again accept a dictator, who has repeatedly stated that he deserves another 12 years in office because he was robbed of his first term due to the Russia investigation.
The situation we find ourselves in, unquestionably proves that the ”Founding Fathers” were not geniuses after all, because apparently they did not devise a mechanism by which to thwart would-be dictators. The 25th Amendment dos exist, designed to remove incapacitated presidents, though the chances of VP Pence invoking it before inauguration day is as likely as him not lapping up to the Madman for an entire day.
Outside of unrest and legal shenanigans between now and inauguration day, it is not certain that speculation of what comes next after Jan 20, 2021, actually helps, though compared to the Madman’s reign, Biden’s announced policies sound like a radical improvement. That aside, here are a few truisms that have once again been revealed:
• White supremacy and racism, misogyny, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ageism and ableism are not deal-breakers when choosing this nation’s candidates.
• Lying, refined to an art form by the Madman, who has told some 25,000 lies since being sworn into office, is also not a deal-breaker.
• The same is true for kleptocracy as a form of government as the Madman, his grifter family and minions, have managed to greatly enrich themselves via government.
• Criminal negligence in handling the COVID crisis is also not a deal-breaker. COVID 19 has not disappeared and there are now 250,000 deaths. Contrary to what he predicted, it has not magically “gone away” from the world, nor from the media.
• The daily twitter diatribes, coming from an over-compensating five-time draft-dodging coward and failed businessman, to boot, on top of politically exploiting religion – are also not disqualifiers for the nation’s highest office.
• Voter intimidation, voter suppression and violence, especially aimed against communities of color, have again now been normalized.
Something else that was once again been revealed is the fallacy of the artificial “Hispanic” – “Latin-Latinx “ demographic category, promoted primarily by both the media and government. Simply having been formerly colonized by Spain does not a “people” make, especially a homogenous people. Mexican Americans and Central Americans – living on the West Coast and the Southwest, formed a solid blue wall. Puerto Ricans also soundly rejected the Madman, whereas Cuban and Venezuelan Americans, not so much. Despite this, the media distortions – of overwhelming support for this Madman – continue.
Writing a week after the election is like writing before the landfall of a Category 5 hurricane; we don’t know what may happen, but what is certain is that we continue to be in an uncivil war that has once again manifested at the ballot box. Once again, the Blue party won the popular vote by some four million votes, which makes it seven of the last eight presidential elections. The Electoral College, a relic of slavery days, however, has been instrumental in installing the last several of the nation’s Republican presidents.
If the nation’s institutions prevail and Biden is installed as the nation’s 46th president, we will see if the right wing’s extremist leaders follow their deranged “dear leader” into a new civil war.
The worst thing that can happen is for Biden-Harris, in the name of healing, to extend an olive branch, not to his opposition, but to avowed fascists whose policies have wrought denigration, violence, misery and death to most of the nation.
After these past four years, there has to be a brown line for Biden-Harris: They can lead the world in effectuating the concept of “No human being is illegal.” They can start by humanizing their migrant and refugee policies, also by bringing down the wall, destroying the cages, ending child separation and also by ending the genocidal war against people of color.

Las próximas nueve semanas seguramente serán un período de gran caos e incertidumbre. En gran parte, se debe a que el ex-presidente (conocido como el Loco Anaranjado) se está comportando como era de esperar, como si el propio Nostradamus hubiera profetizado este momento, que en realidad es parte de cómo ha gobernado.
Mientras que el vicepresidente Joe Biden ha sido declarado ganador, y el partido Azul ha retenido el control de la Cámara de Representantes y posiblemente ha retomado el Senado, el Loco continúa reclamando la victoria y se ha embarcado en una estrategia legal delirante para revocar los resultados a través de los tribunales. De hecho, si se trata de la Corte Suprema, la ventaja es para el loco.
Mientras tanto, la derecha fuertemente armada no ha retirado sus amenazas de guerra civil. Si el Loco lograba mantenerse en el poder, por cualquier medio necesario, no podría gobernar. Inicialmente, cinco millones de personas descenderían sobre Washington D.C., lo que paralizaría al gobierno y se negaría a aceptar nuevamente a un dictador, quien ha declarado repetidamente que merece otros 12 años en el cargo porque le robaron su primer mandato debido a la investigación de Rusia.
La situación en la que nos encontramos prueba sin duda alguna que los "Padres Fundadores" no eran genios después de todo, porque aparentemente no idearon un mecanismo para frustrar a los posibles dictadores. La Enmienda 25 existe, diseñada para destituir a los presidentes incapacitados, aunque las posibilidades de que el vicepresidente Pence la invoque antes del día de la investidura son tan probables como que no se lance al Loco durante todo un día.
Fuera de los disturbios y las travesuras legales entre ahora y el día de la inauguración, no es seguro que la especulación sobre lo que vendrá después del 20 de enero de 2021 realmente ayude, aunque en comparación con el reinado del Loco, las políticas anunciadas por Biden suenan como una mejora radical. Aparte de eso, aquí hay algunos tópicos que se han revelado una vez más:
• La supremacía blanca y el racismo, la misoginia, la xenofobia, la homofobia, la transfobia, la discriminación por edad y el capacitismo no son factores decisivos a la hora de elegir a los candidatos de esta nación.
• Mentir, refinado a una forma de arte por el Loco, que ha dicho unas 25,000 mentiras desde que asumió el cargo, tampoco es un factor decisivo.
• Lo mismo ocurre con la cleptocracia como forma de gobierno, ya que el Loco, su familia estafadora y sus secuaces, se las han arreglado para enriquecerse enormemente a través del gobierno.
• La negligencia criminal en el manejo de la crisis de COVID tampoco es un factor decisivo. COVID 19 no ha desaparecido y ahora hay 250.000 muertos. Al contrario de lo que predijo, no se ha "ido" mágicamente del mundo, ni de los medios de comunicación.
• Las diatribas diarias de Twitter, provenientes de un hombre de negocios fracasado y cobarde que esquivó el reclutamiento cinco veces en exceso, además de explotar políticamente la religión, tampoco son descalificadores para el cargo más alto de la nación.
• La intimidación de votantes, la supresión de votantes y la violencia, especialmente dirigida contra las comunidades de color, se han normalizado nuevamente.
Algo más que se reveló una vez más es la falacia de la categoría demográfica artificial “hispano” - “latino-latinx”, promovida principalmente por los medios de comunicación y el gobierno. El simple hecho de haber sido colonizado anteriormente por España no hace un “pueblo”, especialmente un pueblo homogéneo. Los mexicoamericanos y centroamericanos, que viven en la costa oeste y el suroeste, formaron una sólida pared azul. Los puertorriqueños también rechazaron rotundamente al Loco, mientras que los cubanos y venezolanos estadounidenses, no tanto. A pesar de esto, continúan las distorsiones mediáticas, de apoyo abrumador a este loco.
Escribir una semana después de las elecciones es como escribir antes de la llegada de un huracán de categoría 5; no sabemos qué puede pasar, pero lo cierto es que seguimos en una guerra incivil que se ha vuelto a manifestar en las urnas. Una vez más, el partido Azul ganó el voto popular por unos cinco millones de votos, lo que lo convierte en siete de las últimas ocho elecciones presidenciales. Sin embargo, el Colegio Electoral, una reliquia de los días de la esclavitud, ha sido fundamental para instalar a los últimos presidentes republicanos de la nación.
Si las instituciones de la nación prevalecen y Biden se instala como el 46 ° presidente de la nación, veremos si los líderes extremistas de la derecha siguen a su trastornado "querido líder" hacia una nueva guerra civil. Lo peor que puede suceder es que Biden-Harris, en nombre de la curación de la nación, extienda una rama de olivo, no a su oposición, sino a los fascistas declarados cuyas políticas han provocado denigración, violencia, miseria y muerte a la mayor parte de la nación.
Después de estos últimos cuatro años, tiene que haber una línea de bronce para Biden-Harris: pueden liderar el mundo en la aplicación del concepto de "Ningún ser humano es ilegal". Pueden comenzar humanizando sus políticas de migrantes y refugiados, también derribando el muro, destruyendo las jaulas, poniendo fin a la separación infantil y también poniendo fin a la guerra genocida contra las comunidades y personas de color.
