A recent editorial by syndicated columnist George Will has him expressing his love for the Revolutionary “War,” and what an important historical event it was.
But if Native Americans had the deporting powers that Trump and ICE have, the power to deport the colonists and the British military back to Europe, the Revolutionary “War” never would have happened.
It is time to wrestle with these “war” realities. How could the colonists and the British have a “war” (a killing contest sporting event governed by rules) that was to decide what was going to happen upon land that neither side had any legitimate right to be on?
If you believe in justifiable “war,” the only people back then that had the right to justifiably “war” were Native Americans.
The colonists and the British got to to their phantom “war” upon land that was not theirs, based solely on having superior weaponry over the indigenous landowners.
George Will seems like a pretty smart guy, you would think he would think at this point in his career and life he would have figured it out.
