On our 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, MAGA Nation is trying to disguise criticism of POTUS #45-#47 in non-existent, make-believe medical terminology. Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) nonsense is their way of covering their Peerless Leader’s subversive tirades and his baseless, callous attacks on his perceived “enemies of the people.”
Such actions by Trump critics are part of the First Amendment freedom of speech and press guaranteed in The Bill of Rights. Such opposition is nothing new and dates back to the founding of our republic. Trump and his MAGA cronies might want to silence such criticism but can’t, a tribute to The Founding Fathers and our Constitution, by far the oldest in the world.
A few examples from past Presidential attacks, along with memorials on their behalf, follow below:
— Washington. A monarchist and Brit-lover. Burned in effigy after approving the Jay Treaty. Now on the $1 bill, the quarter, Mount Rushmore, Washington Monument in the city bearing his name.
— John Adams. Hermaphrodite (possessing both sex organs—he didn’t) and “His Rotundancy” (fat — he was).
— Jefferson. Atheist, coward, sired by Virginia mulatto father and Indian squaw. $2 bill, the nickel, Mt. Rushmore, Washington Memorial.
— Jackson. Illiterate (he wasn’t), bigamist wife. $20 bill, statues at The White House and Jackson Square in New Orleans.
— Lincoln. “The Gorilla” to the South. Coward, idiot, despot. $5 bill, the penny, Mount Rushmore, Washington Memorial.
— Grant. “The Butcher,” drunkard (he was). $50 bill.
— Teddy Roosevelt. Mind of a caveman. Mount Rushmore, dedicated by his cousin FDR.
— Wilson. “Kaiser” for proposing the League of Nations, forerunner to the UN.
— FDR. Communist, traitor, tyrant. The dime, New Deal, dedicated Mt. Rushmore.
The list could include others, but you get the picture. TDS goes one step further. Trying to define criticism of Trump in bogus medical terms doesn’t speak well about MAGAs distorted understanding of legitimate political discourse (Jan. 6 insurrection definitely wasn’t) and/or the medical profession, which would never stoop that low.
But that is how Trump got elected twice. To win, just smear the opposition with TDS ignorance. Appeal to the MAGA (Most Allegations Grossly Amiss) base, who themselves suffer from LCD.
What is LCD? That stands for Lowest Common Denominator. For that brain deficiency, there is no RX.
“If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!”—POTUS #33 Harry Truman.
